E-Z PEG LOCKING SYSTEM

TRADITIONAL TAPERED PIN

1. Pull the string through the backside of the pin.
2. Insert the ball of the string into the existing hole followed by the E-Z Peg.
3. Push the E-Z Peg into the existing hole until it is resting on the bridge.
4. Apply slight pressure on the top of the E-Z Peg and pull the string up.
5. The ball and the string are now trapped on the underside of the bridge locking the E-Z Peg in place. After installation, you always know where the ball of the string is because it locks in the same place every time.

1. Insert the string end through bridge hole.
2. Insert the pin.
3. The ball and some length of string are left inside the guitar. After installation, you don’t know where the ball of the string stops or how long the string under the bridge is.
Causes no damage to the bridge hole and never cuts into the bridge because the string goes through the pin as opposed to being wedged in on the front side of the pin. Causes bridge hole damage when stringing by cutting into the bridge because the string is on the front side of the pin.
Always seats securely when string pressure is applied.

Does not always seat properly.
Tends to slip up or shoot out.

Actually secures the bridge because 100% of the string pressure is going towards the body of the guitar. This security yields increased sustain, brightness, enables you to stay in tune longer and change your strings faster and easier. Installing traditional pegs puts significant pressure on the bridge causing it to stress out and sometimes crack.
Easily removed by releasing string pressure. No special tools needed to pull out. Requires special tools and can be very difficult to remove.
